The RS 125 is fitted with high-performance, race-style, upside-down front forks and a hydraulic rear monoshock mounted in a rising rate linkage, designed to work in concert to deliver the highest degree of race track compliance.



Torsional rigidity is excellent, again thanks to the bike’s development on the world’s toughest race tracks. The RS 125’s lightweight polished cast aluminium twin spar frame is reinforced with cross ribbing for additional strength while the advanced chassis is mated to a box section, aluminium alloy swingarm.



Styled after its championship-winning GP racing siblings, the RS 125 features a distinctive fairing and tail section that has been wind tunnel tested to deliver minimum drag. NEW SHOGUN 125 PERPADUAN DESAIN SHOGUN 110 DAN 125



Saya melihat desain dari New Shogun 125 merupakan perpaduan dari Shogun 110 Dan 125. Kenapa saya bilang begitu, mari kita lihat satu persatu detailnya.

Mulai dari lampu depan, lampu gede layaknya mata burung hantu ini diambil dari Shogun 125 yang dihilangkan lampu seinnya. Untuk bagian sayapnya lebih mirip Shogun 125 SP yang dibuat lebih kaku lekukannya dan menyatu dibawah mesin.

Untuk area belakang lebih mirip Shogun 110(tahun 2000). Dengan desain samping yang lebih mengkotak lebih mengingatkan saya pada Shogun 110 dibandingkan Shogun 125 yang cenderung gembung. Demikian juga lampu delakangnya yang berbentuk menyiku sangat mirip dengan Shogun 110, bedanya New Shogun 125 sudah menggunakan mika lampu bening dan lampu rem LED. Aplikasi lampu LED untuk lampu belakang menyebabkan perlunya lampu tambahan untuk menerangi plat nomor, karena sinar lampu LED tidak cukup untuk menjangkau samapi plat nomor.

Suzuki Spin 125

Cegah Kabel Spido Putus

Kejadian begini biasa terjadi pada pemakaian kisaran di atas 7.000 km. “Teman-teman di Spinner ngalamin pas di 11.000 km ke atas. Sampai sekarang masih terus dilacak anggota klub Spinner,” beber Dwi Indra ‘Black’ Saputra, Tim Teknik Spinner, alias komunitas pengguna Spin 125.

Persoalan yang terjadi sebenarnya sederhana. Problemnya bukan karena komponen penggerak panel kecepatan Spin 125 buruk. Tapi, ada hal yang sepintas sepele, tapi merembet ke gir penggerak spido. “Ada di laher roda dan karat,” bilang Indra yang sebenarnya enggak black alias item. Jadi, apanya donk yang black?

Biang keroknya bisa dilacak di laher roda. Bearing yang mulai bermasalah merembet ke gir spido. Soalnya putaran bearing enggak lagi sempurna. Padahal, gerakan gir sangat ditentukan perputaran laher. Ada mekanisme yang menambah beban putaran gir.

Putaran laher yang bergerak enggak normal bikin beban berlebihan ke kabel spidometer. “Kalau bearing sudah ada gejala oblak, mending diganti. Ja1533kasus-spin-axl-2.jpgngan sampai merembet sampai ke gir spido,” beber Indra.

Seandainya bukan dari bearing, coba cek kondisi perangkat penggerak jarum spidometer (gbr. 1). Ada risiko karat di bagian ini. Lantaran, grease alias gemuk enggak bisa bertahan lama karena pastinya putaran di gir akan bikin temperatur sedikit naik.

Mending sebelum penggunaan masuk 6.000 km, silakan cek kondisi gemuk. Seandainya sudah kering, bagusnya kasih gemuk warna merah. Gemuk jenis ini biasa dipakai buat industri yang pastinya jauh lebih kuat.

Sebelum dikasih gemuk, bersihkan kerak dari gemuk yang sudah mengering. Cukup pakai lap agak basah. Kain lap jangan dikasih bensin karena di penutup gir set spidometer ada sil yang berisiko melar kalau disiram bensin. Selesai, deh!
